About Me

“Go to the edge of the cliff and jump off. Build your wings on the way down.--Ray Bradbury”

As a graduating high school senior of the class of 2014, I am readying myself for my entrance into the world. I am from Denver, Colorado, conveniently seated in two worlds. I’ve grown up benefiting from both the unfolding Rocky Mountains and the urban eccentricities of the city as my inspiration. I now trade everything for a hilltop university in San Francisco, new people and sights I have never seen before. I expect it will differ greatly from its likeness in my childhood snow globe, but I am ready to embrace it. I come from a family of artists--my dad a singer/songwriter/producer/composer, my step-mom a master western artist, my step-dad a filmmaker/photographer, my mom the long-time organizer and idea generator of creative genius, and my brother a budding pianist and composer. Of the lot of arts passed down to me, I’ve chosen writing as my own. To fulfill my dream of becoming a writer, I must have something to write about. This is why I intend to try everything I possibly can in a city of bridges, bright houses, bookstores and bays. On my maiden voyage to find my muse, help yourself to my mutterings.
